Principal

Welcome to Five Hawks Elementary! 

It is my privilege to serve the children and families of Five Hawks Elementary. I look forward to working in partnership with staff and parents to make our school a place where every child is valued, respected and challenged to be their best self.   

I have worked in urban, suburban and rural settings. Prior to my arrival in Prior Lake I served as the kindergarten-sixth grade principal in Kenyon-Wanamingo for five years.  As a teacher, I worked for Minneapolis Public Schools and Northfield Schools as a Spanish Immersion teacher. I love being an educator and think a school full of children is a happy place to be!

I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and Spanish from St. Cloud State University, a Master’s of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas and my Education Specialist in Educational Leadership and K-12 Administration from the University of St. Thomas. 

My husband and I have three adult children. We treasure time together as a family and know the success they enjoy today is in large part due to dedicated educators who invested in them during the school years. As a family, we enjoy outside activities of all kinds and spending time with family and friends. I am an avid reader and am passionate about the environment and education.  

I am committed to fostering the strong relationships that characterize Five Hawks School and to providing an excellent educational experience for all learners.
